Rayburn, Andrew P.

Organization(s):
University of California-Davis

Dr. Rayburn is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Dept. of Plant Sciences and the Graduate Group in Ecology at the University of California Davis.  His current research interests revolve around around ecological restoration of California rangelands, and include testing spatially-explicit methods to reduce restoration costs, increase restoration success, and quantify restoration effects on ecosystem services in working landscapes. His past research includes studies of landscape change in an agricultural watershed, methods for landscape-scale conservation prioritization, conservation of rare animals and plants, savanna restoration, and connections between plant spatial patterns and ecological processes. Dr. Rayburn holds an MS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Iowa State University, and a PhD in Ecology from Utah State University.
