Liao, Wenjie
Wenjie Liao is an environmental scientist in the French National Institute for Agricultual Research. He holds a Ph.D. from the Institute of Environmental Sciences of Leiden University, the Netherlands. His various research interests converge to the coupled human-environment systems in a normative context of sustainability analysis. He currently works on the approaches of life cycle assessment (LCA), environmental simulation and modelling, and thermodynamic analysis (energy/exergy/entropy/emergy analysis, etc.). The empirical studies that can be conducted based on these approaches, for example the emerging low-carbon energy technologies, eco-material technologies and innovative agri-food technologies, and the environmental-social-economic consequences of these technologies, are of substantial interest to him.
