Dr. Jeffrey W. Hollister is a landscape ecologist with expertise in the spatial component of ecology and environmental sciences. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Baker University, a master’s degree in resource ecology from Duke University, and a Ph.D. in environmental science from the University of Rhode Island. Dr. Hollister’s specific experience is in the application of geospatial technologies (such as geographic information systems, spatial statistics, and remote sensing) to environmental research; broad scale environmental monitoring, modeling and assessment; and ecoinformatics and reproducible research applications in ecology and environmental science. Recently, Dr. Hollister’s focus has been on how nutrients in Northeastern lakes and ponds might alter the provisioning of ecosystem services, including risks to human health.
