Hernandez, Rebecca R.
Organization(s):
Department of Global Ecology, Stanford University

Rebecca is a doctoral student in the Environmental Earth System Science Department at Stanford University and the Department of Global Ecology at the Carnegie Institution for Science.  Her recent CHANS-related research is elucidating the interaction among direct solar renewable energy development, infrastructure, and policy and the natural environment from global- to local-scales. She also studies how global environmental change, including climate change, affects soils and vegetation communities, especially those in aridlands. Typically, her work has implications for both conservation and policy.

Research Interests:
global environmental change, physiological plant ecology, soil ecology, aridlands, environmental sensors and imaging, geographic technologies, environmental impacts of rewnewable energy
