I hold a BS degree in Biology by Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC), Argentina, and a PhD in Natural Resource Management by Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). I conducted postdoctoral research at Yale’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and at UNAM. Currently, I’m an Associate Professor at UNAM’s Centro de Investigaciones en Geografía Ambiental.

I teach undergraduate and graduate courses on applied geostatistics and modeling techniques by means of computer simulations. 

Research Interests: 
1) Spatiotemporal assessments of environmental impacts of fuelwood extraction and charcoal production under traditional or low-tech patterns. 2) Woodfuel supply/demand scenarios within dynamic landscapes, i.e. integrating prospective landscape simulations.
