I study human dimensions of global climate change including Himalayan glacier retreat, carbon sequestration and agro-forest ecosystem. As a human and cultural geographer, I study poverty, livelihood vulnerability, and migration in the U.S and in the developing world. I use GIS, remote sensing, ethnography and qualitative research methods in my research.
