Land use post-doc position in Lambin lab available

CHANS-Net member Eric Lambin has an opening for a full-time post-doctoral research position that will conduct research on land use changes, international trade and eco-certification.

Eric LambinThe research will focus on land use transitions in tropical countries in response to economic integration, globalization and the rise of eco-consumerism. It will use methodologies that combine remote sensing, GIS and socio-economic analysis.

The position is based at the School of Earth Sciences and Woods Institute for the Environment at Stanford University, California, USA. Applicants should have strong research experience in the field of land use change and geospatial analysis.

The starting date is spring 2012 or January 2013.
