Keith Pezzoli, Ph.D., is the director of field research and a lecturer in Urban Studies and Planning at UC San Diego. He teaches courses on research methodology, globalization and city-region development, environmental politics and sustainability. Pezzoli's research and writing focuses on bioregionalism, sustainability science, the food-water-energy nexus, integrated regional watershed planning and the U.S.-Mexico border region. At UCSD, Pezzoli leads the Superfund Research Program's Community Engagement and Research Translation Cores with a focus on ecotoxicology and environmental public health. Off campus, Pezzoli directs The Global Action Research Center (The Global ARC), a not-for-profit organization that promotes scholarship of engagement by connecting researchers to communities, especially where concerns about the built environment, water, climate, ecosystem integrity and human health intersect. http://theglobalarc.org
