Peterson, Markus J.
My research interests revolve around ecology and conservation of terrestrial vertebrate populations, and runs the gambit from exploited to endangered species. Specifically, my research emphasizes factors influencing animal abundance, including wildlife diseases, predation, weather, habitat conditions, and human exploitation. These projects typically are conducted at the population, community, and/or landscape scales. Because of my interest in conservation, I also conduct considerable research addressing various aspects of environmental policy formation and implementation.
