Dr. Caitlin S. Dyckman, an assistant professor in the Department of Planning and Landscape Architecture and a research fellow in the South Carolina Water Resources Center, came to Clemson after completing a Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning at U.C. Berkeley and a J.D. from the U.C. Davis King Hall School of Law. Her present research focuses on national and international management issues where land (and its uses) meets water, employing analysis techniques from both the legal and planning disciplines. More specifically, she has examined integrating municipal and household-level water conservation opportunities into urban planning; water conflicts and rights restructuring; shoreline management innovations; and analysis of novel legal environmental flow regimes and their possible efficacy under U.S. constraints.
