I am a second year PhD student in Geography and Earth Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where I work with Dr. Ross Meentemeyer studying the impacts of interacting disturbances on forest ecosystem dynamics. One goal of my research is to inform landscape management decisions that will improve resiliency of natural resources for future generations. In my "free" time (does that exist as a PhD student?) I enjoy getting outdoors, hiking, biking, camping, and traveling, as well as examining the CHANS of microbrews.

Research Interests:
interacting disturbances; forest disease ecology; landscape ecology
