The 18th International Conference on Ecological Modelling will be held in Beijing, China, and jointly hosted by Beijing Normal University, Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of Quebec at Montreal, Nanjing University and Peking University, on Sept. 20-23, 2011 on behalf of the International Society for Ecological Modelling (ISEM).

Abstract deadline is April 10, 2011.

The ISEM also is offering its second biennial Best Young Research Paper Prize. The winner receives registration and $1,500 for travel expenses to attend the ISEM 2011 conference.

Any author, age 39 or younger, who published a paper in Ecological Modelling in 2009 or 2010 or has a paper accepted before deadline is eligible. Forward a PDF of the paper with indication for consideration of the prize to Brian Fath (bfath@towson.edu). Self-nominations are accepted.

Papers are due by April 1, 2011.

Papers will be evaluated by a small group of ISEM officers for overall impact, originality, and quality of work. Contact Brian for further questions as needed.
